Along with our current clients RKA has worked to develop and maintain a ‘green’ cleaning service. To achieve these requirements we have implemented a ‘colour bag’ system which is as follows:
RKA conducts three-monthly waste audits and report back to the client with the results.
Where required, RKA supplies consumables made from recycled material (serviettes, paper towel and toilet paper). In addition, the ‘colour bags’ that we use for collecting and sorting waste are themselves biodegradable. We are currently composting used paper hand-towels through environmental organic waste management and are also investigating the possibility of food waste composting and anticipate utilising environmental organic waste management for this service also.
RKA also provides cages for recycling products and cardboard at our premises in Arney Street, Newtown.
All rubbish is removed nightly by the RKA rubbish truck. The truck has separate compartments for recycled and compostible waste.
